Expressing his honor of meeting Prime Minister Modi during his historic visit to the U S,  Sunder Pichai stated the progress India has made, in the field of digital innovation and economic opportunities are immense. He highlighted Google’s commitment in digital transformation of India, with an investment of $10 billion in India’s digitisation fund.

He met Indian PM earier in December. We continued our conversation today. We told the Indian Prime Minister that Google is investing $10 billion in India’s digitisation fund.”

Pichai stated that Google’s investments will focus in India on artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives and development of technologies that support Indian languages. He mentioned expanding the availability of Google’s AI-powered voice assistant, Bard, to more Indian languages .

Pichai expressed happiness in the progress India has made in harnessing the power of AI and the exciting opportunities it provides for the country’s improvement.

He assured Google’s support for Indian Prime Minister Modi’s vision of Digital India and recognised it as a blueprint that other nations are keen to follow. The scaling up of India’s digital ecosystem will be a crucial model for other countries to emulate and making it a significant point of discussion at the upcoming G20 summit in India.

“PM’s thinking for Digital India was way ahead of time. I now see it as a blueprint for other countries to follow. And the follow through on the scaling up of India’s digital stake is a model for other countries of the world. It will be something important to discuss in the G20 as well, which is obviously happening in India.” During his visit to US , Indian PM Modi has met various political leaders and industrialists. India signed many MOUs. India has deepened its relationship with US in defense which will help in meeting Chinese threat. Sunder Pichi announced the opening of global operation center in GIFT City ,Gujarat. It will give India a leadership position and leverage the success of UPI,UID,Adhaar.
